About

Branding + video for the AEC industry.

Bold Brand exists because architecture, engineering, and construction firms deserve better than generic agency work—and because great firms shouldn’t lose talent and projects to competitors who simply look the part.

Why AEC-only?

Professional services firms aren’t consumer products. Your buyers are committees, your sales cycles are long, your differentiation is genuinely hard to articulate—and your talent market is as competitive as your client market. We built our entire process, our benchmarks, and our network around that reality. When we walk into your firm, we’re not learning your industry on your dime.

Meet Josh Miles

Josh Miles, founder of Bold Brand

Bold Brand is led by founder Josh Miles—AEC brand strategist, filmmaker, photographer, and keynote speaker with 25+ years of design and branding experience. Josh wrote Bold Brand 2.0, the book on repositioning professional services firms; hosts The Bold Brand Show; previously served as the Chief Marketing Officer of SMPS HQ; and is an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot. His film and photography work has been featured by Marriott Bonvoy, Airbnb, and Thrillist, and honored at the San Francisco Indie Short Festival and Florida Shorts Film Festival.

Award-winning films feature our unique brand storytelling approach—and that same approach drives every rebrand, every video, and every photograph we deliver.

How we work

Every engagement starts with strategy. Our DRIVE brand strategy process—Discovery, Research, Insights, Voice, Essence—was created specifically for professional services firms. It asks surprisingly little of your team’s time and produces a brand your people will actually rally behind. We believe if the process doesn’t make you a little bit uncomfortable, you probably aren’t differentiating yourself.
